About this handbook

Engineering Knowledge Handbook is a concept-first software engineering reference with role-based interview practice and certification preparation.

Content and affiliation

Lessons are maintained in Markdown and rendered into public pages and a self-contained offline edition. Claude certification practice is independently authored and is not official, leaked, or predictive. The handbook is not affiliated with Apple, Anthropic, or any certification body.

Privacy and study data

Public lessons and search require no account. Bookmarks, manual progress, recent topics, theme, and focus preference are kept in this browser. If you create an account, Firebase Authentication processes your email and sign-in details. Cloud Firestore automatically stores each chapter status you change while signed in, and stores your other study data when you choose Sync now. It also stores your optional private profile, including a resized photo if you upload one. Your age and profile details are not shown to other learners or used for public analytics. The account page offers study-data export and account deletion. Browser settings can clear local data; the offline edition uses separate file-origin storage.

Content proposals are stored in Cloud Firestore with the submitting account ID, title, domain, related lesson, draft text, and review status. Only the author and the designated admin can read a proposal. Proposals are not published automatically; approved drafts are edited into the Markdown lessons before publication. Deleting an account does not delete its submitted proposals. Contact support@devopedia.dev to request removal of a proposal or attribution already published.

Public, indexable pages use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate visits, country, page popularity, referrals, and page performance. Its browser beacon sends page and performance measurements to Cloudflare. The My Learning account page, Contribute page, and offline edition do not load analytics. When a Google Analytics 4 web stream is configured, an optional consent choice appears on public pages. Only after you allow it, Google Analytics receives page visits and selected actions such as search-result opens, code copy, and practice starts. Google derives approximate city and country from the request IP address. We do not send search words, copied code, answers, study status, or account records as event details. You can change your choice through Analytics settings in the footer. No external search provider is configured.
